1. Are your documents compatible with my computer system?

Our products are guaranteed to work with Microsoft Windows XP® and Macintosh systems capable of using Adobe® Reader/Acrobat Products and Microsoft Word® version 2002 or newer.  The Microsoft Word forms should be compatible with versions of Word as far back as Word 97.  If you do not have these programs, or if these programs are not functioning properly, you would need to obtain updated versions of these programs directly from Adobe and/or Microsoft.  As of the time of the publishing of this information, Adobe Reader and Word Viewer are available as free downloads from www.adobe.com and www.microsoft.com respectively and will be sufficient in reading all materials provided by landlordeguide.com although they are limited as "Read Only" software versions and will therefore not allow interactive functionality.

2. Does the Landlord e-Guide and forms apply to the specific laws in my jurisdiction?

It is our intention to provide as much area specific information to our purchasers as possible however, it would be a great task to cover the laws and requirements of every jurisdiction in a single book!  As such, we did the next best thing. 

First, The Complete Landlord® e-Guide and landlord forms we deliberately created to apply to property managers everywhere.  For example, our forms contain typical verbiage with many fill-ins so the user may specify their particular jurisdictional laws. The book identifies the individual issues every landlord will need to research in order to develop policies, procedures and forms.  This is important since the time you take to learn strategies, research landlord-tenant laws will allow you to actively develop your own practices and forms and will be an essential part of your education and success as a landlord. While we understand that our customers are looking for products and services that will save them as much time, risk and effort as possible, we also want our products to help empower you with wisdom and clarity!

To support you further, we have also created a dedicated companion website called The Landlord's Resource Directory to provide every relevant online resource available on the subject of property management. Individual area links will provide dozens of landlord-tenant law resources in your jurisdiction including information on landlord and real estate associations (which are often the greatest informational sources of all).

3. How will I receive the download(s)?

Upon successfully completing your purchase, you will be forwarded to a download page where you will give complete instructions on how to copy the purchased files to your computer hard drive.  Depending on the speed of your modem and the capability of your computer system, the download could take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes.

If you purchase a CD package, you may choose to wait for the disc to be mailed to you and download the files at that time. 

Online and phone technical support is available to anyone having difficulties.  Our customers are entitled to telephone and email-based technical support provided by a representative for technical issues related to the initial installation and set-up of the products.  Phone-based support will always be given  as quickly and efficiently as possible by a capable member of our technical support team.

4. Does the information in the e-guide apply to countries outside the United States?

5. What are the technical requirements of using your products?

Our documents are only guaranteed to work with the system platforms and product programs listed in question #1 above. Our products are guaranteed to run on any Pentium-class (or better) PC with a 52X (or faster) CD-ROM drive. While our products have been tested on and do work with Windows 95 and Windows NT, performance under Windows 95 or NT is not guaranteed. Likewise, while our products have been tested and do work with non-Pentium-class PCs and CD-ROM drives slower than 52X, performance with these is likely but not guaranteed. If you plan to run our products on a CD or DVD drive, we cannot guarantee that they will run on older equipment.

6. How do I modify the Word forms to suit my needs?

In Microsoft Word, select Tools, and Unprotect Document.  You can then edit the form as needed.
