Our Company

The Landlordeguide.com website is presented by WayPoint Management Group, LLC (WMG) and is owned and managed by Mark and Shannyn Flory in Boise, Idaho.  Originally a real estate appraisal and consulting firm, in 2002 WMG expanded into providing an abundance of educational materials covering all aspects of the real estate industry, including several industry websites, Shannyn's book, The Complete Landlord® e-Guide and Mark's upcoming publications on real estate valuation and investing.

Mark and Shannyn, married for 12 years are quite a dynamic team with a cumulative 24 years experience expanding all aspects of the real estate industry.    Mark has owned and operated a successful real estate appraisal practice since 1997. 

Our Products

Together, Mark and Shannyn are delighted to share what they have learned with others.  Most recently, they are intrigued with the Internet and its overwhelming capacity to save us time and money.   

In researching the internet for information on becoming a landlord, Shannyn was surprised to find that her landlording e-book idea did not already exist.  "As Internet users, people rely on the Web to find information quickly and easily.  They  don't want to waste time weeding through dozens of websites, to purchase and read lengthy books or to take expensive online courses!" she says.  This was the inspiration she needed to create a downloadable type of document on becoming a Landlord that was complete in its information, yet concise enough to be read within a few hours.  "I created what I would have wanted when I started in this business. I was willing to work hard at learning the tricks of the trade,  I just  needed help getting on my feet and to be shown the tools to grow my business from there. "  This is the inspiration behind The Complete Landlord® e-Guide.

The landlord forms were added later to accompany The Complete Landlord® e-Guide as templates that would provide a quicker and easier way to customize a set of commonly used forms and to become familiar with their content,  purpose, the industry verbiage and the applicability of laws. 

Our Mission

The mission at Landlordeguide.com is to provide educational products and tools to landlords and property managers that will enhance their ability to develop a successful and professional property management business. We are dedicated to providing resources and materials that will help maximize profits and minimize risks, and  to empower landlords to devise their own effective policies, procedures and forms.

Our Commitment

In order to maintain our commitment to our customers, WayPoint Management Group produces a companion resource directory website and a monthly newsletter with information that will provide a continual source of education and new ideas. 

Author Shannyn Flory also offers her time and expertise through a free expert advice forum in an effort to share her own wisdom and experience with landlords needing assistance.

In addition to providing these resources, we welcome our customers and site visitors to contact us with insight on ways we can improve our products and services.

About the Author

Shannyn's professional career has involved for more than 13 years in the real estate industry.  Her  professional experiences include purchasing and managing her own rental properties as well as launching three property management businesses of her own.  A skillful user of QuickBooks® accounting software for the business of property management, Shannyn has also worked as a bookkeeping and accounting consultant for a mid-sized property management and investment realty firm in Boise.  Other experiences include working in title and escrow, as a mortgage originator and as a licensed real estate agent.  Currently she spends her time working on monthly newsletters, updates of her book and websites and consults with her landlord e-guide customers while maintaining her own investment projects.
